Bryce Gillepsie
Bryce spent his childhood playing and exploring in the mountain ranges surrounding Sun Valley. This instilled in him a deep appreciation for the wild and beautiful ecosystem there.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Montana State University, he returned to his hometown and home mountains to further pursue his passion for the outdoors and to share that love with others.
Bryce has been snowboarding for almost as long as he has been walking. In the winter, he travels in the backcountry on a split board and by snowmobile, guiding guests through the region’s most stunning backcountry terrain. Come summer, he leads hiking and mountain biking trips — bringing that same enthusiasm for the mountains to every season.
The rest of the year, Bryce is an avid mountain biker, hunter, and fly-fisherman. His time in the field has cultivated a keen eye for wildlife — tracking and spotting animals is one of his greatest passions, and it’s something he loves passing on to guests in the backcountry.
Beyond guiding, Bryce has led survival camps, bringing his wilderness knowledge into hands-on educational settings. He also serves as an on-call EMT with the Ketchum Fire Department — a commitment that speaks to both his love of community and his dedication to keeping people safe in the field.
